April Fools Day

1st of April, be aware of all jokes and stories this morning as you could be taken for a fool. Of course the tradition was that after midday the person telling the story / white lie would be the fool. Of course a few news sites are getting in on the act, for adsensers out there New Adsense Units could give you a smile.nnIt's also come to the end of March which means it's figures time. I can see this being my last one as AIS income doesn't really exist for me anymore. After the first week of last month my main site got dropped out of Google for no apparent reason. I've stripped the site of adverts and moved it onto another domain just to leave it to build up visitors again, but I won't put adsense back on it. I've signed up to another network which is less stringent on rules, even offering advertising for parked domains which I may try once my account is approved. I do have work to do on a couple of other sites still but my own business is still on the upsurge and that takes pretty much all of my time now.nnOk, my adsense this month came to $195. It's only that much thanks to the $100 I got off the referrals. After SW got dropped I made perhaps $10 total off this and another site. I've also had another adsense referral sign up, so whoever that was – you got just over 5 months now to make $100 
I've also made a few bits on Amazon UK and US, but nothing to write home about.nnHowever the Tattoo site had a major turnaround this last week. It's made $115 in adsense over the past two months, the last 3 days has been $5+ each. Okay whilst it sounds so little for the visitor numbers it gets remember we had to filter out a lot of the adverts as they were for tattoo removal, which people didn't really want to see! THe click cost is low on average and I've been rewriting pages to try and boost it. Last week the average daily visitors were perhaps 150-175 people, on Monday that shot up to 270+, Tuesday was 310+, and then Wednesday and Thursday both topped 400 visitors. Friday dropped back to 260+ but I'm just hoping that's due to the end of the week more than anything. What's different? Nothing. I can see more visitors through from Yahoo but that's about all, but not enough to increase our count by double. Perhaps it's the tattoo season?nnAnyhow I've finally managed to find a UK Magazine affiliate option direct with the publishers so that's taking pride of place now, 10% payout so hopefully it will start to make a bit of cash that way. It's frustrating as I don't have any real time to devote to the site but here I have a very busy web site where adsense doesn't really do the job it should/could. I'm still looking for a UK seller of temporary tattoos and tattoo kits, but so far my only option is to contact a company and see if we can strike a dropshipping deal as we just don't have the time to be resellers.nnAck it's all good fun eh. Plus the sun is shining and I intend to spend a few hours clearing the garden today, having a break from the PC
