I decided to get all of my boxes out and resort them, throwing out more horded rubbish that I probably would never use, dig out some extra bits to take back home and repack the boxes to try and create a little more space in my parent's cupboard where they're all stored.
Ahh the gems I found. A very old (10+ years) sponge shaped into a foot, that when you pressed it a tune of "When the Saints go marching in" came out. However being so old the tune sounded very sorry for itself. I presume it's battery driven and the battery is finally giving up! I also found bagpuss that still yawns when you press his mouth. I have a multitude of soft bears, harrods ones off my parents each year and others, all the ones kept have a meaning behind them or someone bought them for me and I don't want to give up the memory. I even found A'Level books! Dave didn't look too impressed at times though!! Still now we have to work out how to take back the extra's I've already bought plus the additional extras I've dug out the boxes now, back home when the car coming down was fairly full as it was!
So I'm stuck working today again, that and going through a new invoicing system and accounts with my Mum. I'll find out at the end of the day how much tax I can expect to pay next January, oh I'm so relishing that! Usually I used to save 20% of all earnings however this year I've been dipping in and out of overdraft and saving 15% interest going out was more worthwhile that receiving about 3.5% in my savings account. I'm going to set up an ISA on Tuesday when I'm in town for a haircut, and start putting £500 a month into it minimum. That way I'll already have £3000 and any extra will go into the savings account. If by next January I have enough in savings and can leave the ISA (about a rate of 5%) I'll be happy.
Tonight is going to be the first BBQ of the year. We'd have had ones earlier except in this country you cannot buy charcoal until easter! Bearing in mind I come from a family that does the Christmas Turkey on a BBQ (and mighty fine it was too last Christmas), it's frustrating having to wait. I much prefer barbequed food and it's much tastier and healthier. Still this year I'll be buying charcoal extra to stock up for the winter a little. So on the menu tonight is steak, chicken skewers, halloumi cheese, mini bratwursts, stonebaked garlic slices (M & S style) and salad. Along with a homemade trifle for after
I won't be eating much tomorrow I don't think!
