We went to Sainsburys today to 'pick up a few things' (hahaha if you can believe that!). We'd already half filled the trolley before we'd left the fruit and veg area (very healthy I know). Going to the meat counter to pick up some steak for dinner tomorrow I noticed the Aberdeen Angus Steak Burgers on half price sale. After asking the butcher why he informed us they had been over-ordered so they needed to get rid of them! So we ordered a dozen of them! (very good burgers for grilling or on the BBQ). Everything we bought then seemed to be either a buy 1 get 1 free or a buy 2 for X amount deal. The few things turned into £130 worth of food, a few toiletries and a couple of packs of BBQ charcoal.
However the best item has to be the Green & Black's Organic Chocolate Icecream. This was free as Sainsburys gave me a coupon for it for my birthday. Usually it's a box of chocolates but I can only assume they've cottoned on to my love of icecream.
