No I'm not addicted to gambling, I'm just having a lot of fun whilst I can. Since Saturday I've made £26 from placing bets on the football matches. Being at home it helps as we can have every match on the television so of course then I can watch both the match and the bets being placed. I'm beginning to also suss how to place bets to be guaranteed a win regardless of the outcome, and of course the more money won the more can be played with in the next match. For example, right now it's England vs Trinidad and Tobago, and at present I can guarantee a minimum win of £7+ and a max of £24. Theoretically we're just over a third of the way through the group matches, so £26 * 3 could net me £78 plus the £3 I started with, so £81 for a bit of game playing. That'll cover dinner and a movie!
Of course it's still a game of risk. If a team score too early then the odds are just too low to make it worthwhile, but it does make the football more enjoyable when you have a reason to want a certain outcome! However whilst playing my new found game (I only see it as a game really, it's not high amounts and I wouldn't bet on anything else bar football) and watching the matches I've noticed one thing – there are a lot of different adverts on tv with footballers in them…
