This is a repeat post off my Tech blog but figured it was worth a repeat for anyone who doesn't go there.nnThe other day I realised that Google must be indexing domain names on the registrant's name as well as the usual methods, as I rank 2nd for my full name with this domain – sarahfreelance.co.uk in Google UK (including double quotes around my name), yet my surname is not mentioned on the web site anywhere, nor is it used in external anchor text to the site either. Every other page for the search had both names in bold in the excerpts shown in the results except mine.nnOne reply seems I'm not the only person to notice this. It's not a major issue as such but it's intriguing that Google should decide to use this personal info in their algo too.

We'll be seeing a lot more domains registered by "Mr Debt Consolidation" then
Heh, if it IS true I wouldn't be suprised!!nnWell according to Google's cache my surname is only in external links, but I'm still looking for a site that links using my surname, that's indexed in Google (as I've found one on a friend's but it isn't indexed)
