The week so far
Wed, 8 November, 2006 – 3:06 pm
Still waiting on that 48 hour max call back from UK Online, ahh well the ADSL will probably be cut off by the end of the week leaving us free to get a proper company to deal with it!
On the good news front, I'm off to the BBC Good Food show in London on Friday with my Mum. My parents are currently getting a new kitchen put in so we're off to see what fancy gadgets we can buy along with the culinary treats to taste (did I hear free wine tasting too?!). So I'm quite looking forward to that, a day away from work and doing what I do best, shop and eat!
We'll probably go home this weekend. I know we won't have any ADSL for another few days however I can work offline for a while, use my phone to check my email and take a few days off. It's been manic these past few weeks, but 1 site is now live and another 2 are live this week so that eases the pressure. Plus I need to devote some time to getting the garden ready before the winter sets in.
Another good news front, am buying a new car! Well a second hand 3-4 year old car, but am in the market for a Volkswagen Polo. Simply because even though we try not to travel too often when we do it's quite a lengthy distance. The Smart for one person is okay but for two it can become cramped when you have suitcases and then take more stuff back home with you (like plants and shopping!). Plus when we have visitors at home we have to get a taxi to go anywhere, so it'll be handy to have a bigger car. That said I'm not getting rid of the Smart, don't see the point. It costs very little to insurance and tax and after this year it shouldn't have much to do for a while again. Considering the amount I may get for it compared to what I've spent out this year, and again it's always handy to have two cars, we'll still keep the Smart for short trips to the shops and going into Liverpool (much better for town driving too!). I'm looking to spend up to £5k on the car plus insurance. So I'm just waiting to go home and then I can start going to the various VW dealers in the area, see what they have and decide exactly what I want from the car.

you got ripped off

Try reading the post again. 13,000 on the clock is hardly the equivalent to a 4 year old car
The Glass guide recommends this car to be sold for £6,750 so no offence but I'll believe the official dealer guide on this one.

Time for a race then
Picked the car up yesterday, very nice and powerful. Put my foot down (when I could) and sped off very quickly (that'd be the 65 bhp). Am very happy with my purchase
