Magazine Contribution

A couple of months ago both Dave and I were hired to write tutorials for Practical Web Design, a beginner to intermediate targeted Internet magazine produced by Future (as opposed to .net which is more intermediate to advanced). The Issue our tutorials are in is due to hit the shelves in the next few days (Issue 36). We had hoped this would be the first of a few tutorials with the magazine but unfortunately the bosses at Future have decided to close the magazine (not due to us before anyone mentions it!!).
It's a major shame. I really enjoyed writing the tutorial and the idea that some people may even find it helpful and useful and perhaps follow it is a real confidence boost. Plus my tutorial was hopefully going to be the first of 6 on the same subject. Anyhow, if you're near a WH Smiths or magazine shop in about a week look up the mag and you'll find both of us in there 
I don't think I can tell you what the tutorials are on until the mag is publicly released so I'll let you know once I have a copy 
Seems like the magazine is out on the shelves already so if anyone's interested, Dave's tutorial is on Image Replacement using CSS and mine was a tutorial on installing WordPress. Mine was intending to be the first of a 6 part series but unfortunately that's not going to happen now, however I may continue writing it as it would probably be useful to the clients who we install WordPress for anyhow

I really enjoyed the tutorial's and would recommend to anyone jumping on the WordPress band wagon.

Dave's tutorial is on Image Replacement using CSS, earlier in the mag in the tutorial section. Haven't read his myself yet!! (shh
