I'm hoping to not have to drive too much within the actual cities as we'd just park up and leave the car somewhere for the time we're there. I'm not sure if my breakdown cover free with the car will cover Europe but if not I'll probably get some cover just to be on the safe side. You'll love Italy and I'm quite jealous that you're going to be driving around the country. Be aware, though, that the Italians are mad nutters behind the wheel and the further south you get the worse they are. Naples is supposed to be the worse City in mainland Italy, but wherever you go make sure that you have good insurance and roadside recovery. It's a while off but both myself and Nige have been to Rome so I'm sure that DDN might be able to suggest a few places to visit ;¬) Anyway, have a great new Year! Happy New Year to you and Dave!
