Moved to the Dark Side

Haha that's what I call Windows XP. Yes, today I gave in and formatted my computer and put on Windows XP, replacing my beloved Windows 2000. Why? Several reasons. Mainly because support for 2000 and software on it is getting reduced. For example I can't even install MSIE 7, which isn't helpful when I need to replicate problems that clients see in their sites (one day I'll teach them all how to use Firefox!). Other reasons were that I was intending to do a fresh install so figured it was about time to upgrade, I like the MSN Messenger you get on XP and I use the Remote Assistance with certain clients which isn't available on 2000, and there are less updates so far with XP than there were with 2000 which I felt were just beginning to slow things down a little.
I'm intending (as always) to keep this new install as clean as possible. I have a spare laptop to install and test software on so I only need to install what I need on my main laptop and nothing more. So virtually everything's reinstalled and tomorrow I can get back to normal which means 3 days of emails to sift through and a couple of days of work to catch up on!
So far, well besides the internet explorer window that keeps opening for no apparent reason, things seem to have gone smooth enough.
