Yesterday was Dave's birthday. After a well cooked dinner (by yours truely!) of steak and chips, we went out to the cinema to watch Blood Diamond. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, and is about the diamond trade that went on in Sierra Leone during the war in the late 1990s.

The film was/is very good. It was quite long, but most modern films seem to be over 2 hours these days. The film was quite an eye opener in the way certain events happened. The rebels teaching young children how to fire machine guns. It was quite a frightening thought. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy a night at the movies
