This week has flown by. I've spent the bulk of the week supporting the new IT Manager at work who was the previous assistant and is now taking on new work and also spent the week alone (bless him). I've been trying to do what I can to help him out and ease his workload, at least what I can do without physically being in the office. Because of this my other work has suffered a bit so I've got to catch up with it all in the coming week.

It was also Dave's birthday this week on Thursday. He decided he wanted to go to the cinema in the evening so we went to see Blood Diamond which was a very good film and quite an eye opener to boot. Plus, seeing as we were both off our diets last week, we both indulged in the new size Haagen Daas tubs of icecream – 200ml in size, perfect for the cinema and not too much to make you feel guilty :D

This week my Chillis started to grow. At present we've got 10 out of 12 plants and I'm hoping the other two will pop up sometime soon too. These are only two out of the four packets of seeds we have so I have the Jalepenos to get planting this week too. I've also got to get into the garden and start getting the ground ready for the salad plants.

The main thing I've been up to this week is my new design on this site and throughout the domain. I'm really struck with this design and after altering the original to suit my own tastes and getting my own widgets into the sidebar, I'm really happy with it. Hopefully now I can just come up with some good posts and make the work worthwhile to keep my visitors returning :)

One final note, I've started drinking again! Well okay I've had a glass and a half of wine tonight! We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully okay considering I've got 23 and a half bottles of wine in the cupboard ;)

  • Sarah Comments:

I forgot to mention that planning for our trip to Italy in September is back on. After a few comments by some friends I was a little unsure as to whether driving out and around Italy was a good idea however after a chat with my parents friends who have driven to and through Italy has put my mind at rest. However with the trip not happening until September time both Dave and I are desperate for a break away sooner. Perhaps April or May. Not sure where to go though, I just fancy a few days away somewhere warm :)
