I think I've not written up my personal weekly round up for a few weeks. Sorry, I've just been so tired recently.
Work is getting pretty busy as per my post during the week. I'm working on 5 websites for work plus I've been updating a shopping cart script (the original not written by me and ugly to boot) and trying to get the HSBC payment processor to work with it. It wasn't until after I agreed to the work that I found out how much of a bitch this payment processor is! Still, it's working now and besides final tests, that's another job done and out the way.
The past few weeks have seen me back in the garden. I've been planting chilli seeds (got 10 plants growing, more seeds to grow hopefully), digging up the garden ready for the chilli plants and also the salad garden, and I've started my first tray of salad plants – little gems, rocket, spring onions and radish. My little green house outside is great. Today I unzipped the front cover and it was roasting inside! The garden is looking really good now. Last weekend I finished tidying up our back corner (corner of buried crap!), got it flattened out and got the gravel down. It's looking so much tidier out there now. The garlic and shallots are still growing well, and we've increased our herbs in the herb garden.
It's the end of the business year now. My estimated turnover is at least a 10% increase from last year. I'd already hit last years turnover in January, however I deliberately slowed up taking on work these past two months due to knowing about the week that's just been, and knowing how much work would need doing. However I've already got two new jobs lined up for April, which couldn't be more different! After the week that's just passed I'm definitely wanting a few days off though. There is still work to be done but most of these sites should be live by the end of next week. I'll probably work solidly through easter but, work permitting, may take a long weekend somewhere providing people pay their bills as I'm currently skint!
Tomorrow is also the day to go back on the diet. I've lapsed these past few weeks and need to get back on track. That means more fruit and veg/salad (with the warm weather I much prefer salad) and exercising. The clocks going forward of course means lighter evenings and it really does make me want to go out on a bike in the evening. We're intending to buy a bike carrier for the car so that we can drive off to other places and maybe do some proper mountain biking.
And finally, I've decided to sell my Smart car. Despite it being nice and cheap to run (£35 tax a year, £200 insurance) I've decided it's dead money now. The car is rarely being used as I much prefer the Polo for comfort, power and space. The longer I keep it, the less it's worth in a sale. I've spoken to a client who deals in second hand cars and they've told me I could get up to £2,500 for it. I'm not expecting top price but anything over £2000 would be great in my opinion. I just need to get it completely cleaned inside and out (not easy when the car cannot come within 20m of the house!), and up for sale on somewhere like Autotrader.

We could have been smart friends
Nice to hear that your income is up, can only be a good thing!
I havent been around on the net recently because of having no computer and the interweb being broken again – but Im heading up your way in a couple of weeks if you fancy breakfast again….
Matt x
After my accounts updates today it seems that turnover will be on a 25% increase from last year and exactly what I predicted to the bank manager!
Breakfast sounds good. Let us know when you're coming up, and of course, come up the night before and stop over!
