Photos from Paris
Tue, 4 September, 2007 – 10:10 pm
Last October Dave and I went to Paris for a long weekend. Besides Dave breaking his ankle (not as severe as it sounds as he could still walk once it was strapped up) and us getting drenched on the first night, we had a really nice time.
Anyhow, I happened to come across the photos from then and realised I'd not put them online! I think it was because I only had the free Flickr account and so knew I'd be limited to 200 photos and so didn't want to fill the account up. However now I'm all pro with Flickr I've added the best ones. I didn't know much about my camera when I took these so they are truely 'point-and-shoot' photos. I couldn't understand why most of my night shots of the Eiffel Tower were blurred! Luckily I do now
We'd like to go back again to see the parts we missed first time around. With the train from Waterloo and the great hotel we found (£50/$100 a night for the room) we'll definitely be returning soon.

We were in Paris last october too: http://www.wanderingfamily.com...../parismeh/

You went about 2 weeks after us. That photo above was taken on the 8th of October which was a Sunday I believe (thank god for the camera recording dates!).
I've been to Paris twice now and must admit I do like the city, but then again I love London too and used to live there. I've not seen half of London either!

Well London is on my list (along with a side trip to Costco). We went to Windsor, although a lot of the time was spent in legoland so it doesnt count. but Dover was pretty cool too!

Haha, off to Costco
Must admit I've never really stopped in Dover, usually just straight to the ferry port!

I didn't visit the town or castle I'm afriad, just to the cliffs for some hiking so I can't speak to the town itself.
