This past week has been pretty good as far as weather goes. We've finally had some nice sunshine for the week, I've managed to get both the front and back gardens mowed (finally the grass is of a decent length!), the back garden tidied up again, and we've now got 2 plants with chilli fruit on (yay!). We've also been picking Raspberries which are bang in season now, every other night it's usually hot raspberries over icecream for dessert!

Work's been pretty good this week. I actually got a fair bit done, usually in the mornings and then spent a bit of time in the garden out in the sun (gardening, not sunbathing!!). We spent a couple of evenings this week driving over to the coast to try and catch the sunset. After a beautiful day of blue sky you'd expect to get a glorious sunset, however the first night the clouds rolled in and nothing could be seen, but on Thursday we got some nice shots during the sunset and afterwards too. I'm particular liking my shot of the lights across the Marina at New Brighton (see above).

On Friday we went over to one of Dave's friend's house for a party he was having. He has a hot tub in his back garden however both Dave and I are quite reluctant to go into one of those with strangers around! It'd be nice with a bit of privacy though! Must admit the whole garden looked a bit like the garden used in Big Brother (no I don't watch it, but I know what the garden looks like ). Still it was a nice evening besides the 'mild' chilli being exceptionally hot, and no sour cream to cool things down! We all had a good chat and a good evening out.

Today we went to the South Wirral County Show by Parkgate. A small show compared to the one I'm used to by my parents, but then again the Wirral isn't that big! The main feature was the show ring with a Falconry display, Ferret Racing, Shire Horses, Sheep Dog display and more. We grabbed a fair few photos however with the limitations of my camera I could only get a few semi decent shots of the birds in flight. However it was great to watch and also to get out of the house for a good part of the day. Shame the weather hasn't been good this weekend but hopefully it'll brighten up again during the week.
