Quick Note on BlogRush

It's already everywhere so I'm not going to go into details! BlogRush is simply a way to potentially get more exposure on your posts for your blog. I was invited in by another blogger and have added the widget in on the sidebar just above the footer. It displays a few posts from other blogs, could be of interest to people (I'm guessing most posts will be technology based initially). In return I get my latest posts displayed on other people's blogs as well (it comes down to page views). I have read a few concerns over whether it could violate AdSense TOS however this specific blog doesn't run adverts (there's no point, you're all already members of Google AdSense!). Doesn't look like things are going so well so far. Blogging Tips reported how maybe it was rushed (BlogRush was Rushed) and I think they could be right. There are no stats working yet and the site isn't fully finished.nnI'm thinking Gary's thoughts are potentially a better idea.nnBut I'll give it a little more time to see what happens with it. It's not in the way of anyone I don't think

And it's gone…! Why? Well besides them having problems on their site, and it generating just 2 visits since adding it. I just loaded this site to see a blog title which isn't something I'd want my mother to see if you get my drift. Titles which are potentially through to pornographic material, or titles to get people's attention in a similar manner are not what I want.nnWhilst you can filter out words you don't want a post title/content to contain, I'm not about to create a filter list on that site with every rude word I can think of! The TOS states disallowed sites, however it's clearly not an easy rule to regulate.nnI'm away for the rest of the week but once I'm back I think I'll have a go at Gary's idea on creating my own list from my own favourite sites.

Clearly! Trouble is, with bloggers, you don't know what their next title is going to be so it's taken on trust. I guess I could have reported the site, added its URL to my block list, but why am I doing someone elses job?!nnI think it was definitely rushed out. I'm sure it'll be a good system eventually but clearly needs to be finished first.
