Toolbar PR Updated

After the constant chatter of sites getting dropped in their PR, blaming the sale of text links or being part of major blog networks, I've finally seen movement on my own sites. Back in May I switched domains and have been waiting ever since to get some PR back. It may be a rubbish metric, yes we should all ignore it, and I don't actively try to increase my PR, but let's face it, we do all like to see the little green bar showing on our site.nnI'm assuming due to a natural domino effect of most sites losing a little PR StuffBySarah.net has dropped down to PR3 from a previous 4 on the old domain (it started the year as 5!) – at least it's got a bit of green now
My Food Blog has dropped to PR3 from 4 too and our biggest money making site has gone from PR 2 to 1. However on the upside, well on the same level, another money making site has stayed on PR4 which is great, and the biggest surprise, my business site has gone back up to PR 5!nnAs I said, sure it doesn't mean much, about as much as Alexa means, but despite us all knowing it doesn't hold much weight, we still like to see the figures!

While we shouldn't be planning our sites and anything we do around PR, i think it shouldn't be ignored. It's just a metric that really doesn't give you any info about a site except that people link to it.nnAnd yeah, who doesn't like to see that green bar there?

I guess the more green you see the more you feel people like your site!nnPS. Congrats on retaining the 6 on http://www.ilovecode.com

ah.. if only that were true! I really need to figure out what I want to do with that site. Do I just want it to be my dumping ground or something else… who knows.

I agree Sarah. Page Rank really doesn't mean much, but it's SO nice seeing a green bar now on my site! When I had a zero I couldn't help but feel inferior for some reason.
