I've heard of a few people who have had cold recently and weeks after it's cleared up they're still left with that horrible hacking cough. I've heard a few bugs are going around. If I was at an office job I certainly wouldn't be going into work. Despite the pressure put on by the bosses, I don't think it's right people dragging themselves into work to do their job and in turn spreading the illness. I had a nice dinner planned for Dave and in the end we couldn't face much at all besides icecream to soothe the throat. We even went into Tesco to pick up some essentials (kleenex, cold and flu tablets) and I tried to get him to pick a birthday cake but neither of us were tempted by the fresh cakes either. I went to the GP yesterday and was given antibiotics as my temperature's been up and down. Things are slowly clearing up now however I still sound like a 100 a day smoker, worse in fact. Had a big birthday meal cooked for me and I couldn't manage more than a few mouthfuls before falling asleep on a chair. You really do have my sympathy.
