What A Year So Far!

Thomas Wow, my life has changed, for the good of course. I knew having a baby meant changes, I don’t think anyone realises how much their life will change until this tiny, 100% dependent on you, baby becomes your responsibility. It’s been amazing but extremely hard work too. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs in part due to the lack of knowledge of some healthcare professionals, but we’re still battling on through because my gorgeous boy is worth it.

He’s 7.5 months old now, a happy and chilled out baby, and he’s absolutely amazing. We both still can’t believe he’s ours 🙂

Anyway, I’m not going to bore you with chat of nappies (cloth of course), lack of sleep or his ‘first’ everything. I just wanted to leave a quick post to point out that I haven’t forgotten this site and I hope to get back to at least the occasional post as I’ve got so much to write about. It’s just a case of finding the time, usually once the little ‘un has gone to bed 🙂

Reading your tweets over the last 7 months have really made me excited about my own little addition coming very soon. I’m not suprised the posts slowed down though, from what everyone has told me it is going to be a busy, tiring but fully worthwhile and amazing experience.

I bet you can’t wait. The excitement and anticipation is immense just before 🙂 Each baby is obviously different, some are pretty chilled out and happy to amuse themselves, others like company (like Thomas) and others are very unsettled and require lots of attention! Of course you also have to remind yourself that they’re only little once and every day there’s something new, and you don’t want to miss it because you were online blogging 😉

Of course, once they’re asleep (like now) then whilst it’s very relaxing watching them just sleep, you do need to get a bit of perspective and get things done while you can!!

Can’t wait to hear the news of the new addition’s arrival 🙂

Congrats Sarah! That is truly a blessing! I can’t wait to have my first boy! I have a friend who has an 8 month old and he’s already set him up with his very own blog LOL

    Great picture btw

Thanks Joshua. Are you (well your other half!) expecting a boy in the near future or are you just hoping to have a boy soon? If you’re expecting one soon then congratulations 🙂

We’ve held off on the blog until he can type it himself. Although he’s already well aquainted with our mobile phones and laptops so I’m sure it won’t be long! 😉

Congrats on your baby, Sarah! Enjoy those precious moments as much as you can. I’m sure you’ll catch up on your sites with plenty of stories to tell us! 🙂
