Google Adsense Referrals

I've just signed up to the Google Adsense referral program. What's the benefit? If someone signs up to an Adsense account through your link, on their first payout of $100 you will also receive $100 credited to your account. £55 can't be bad for adding a little button to a few web sites! I've just added it discreetly to this site and another. I'm quite liking the design as the one I've chosen is not 'in your face' but just small and subtle.
