UK vs US in Product Sales

I've just gotten back from a short business trip to Cardiff. The 4 hour train journey gave me time to think (after catching up on my missed sleep!) about a few sites that I have going or looking to start. One site I have has a few Click Bank products for sale on, and another that I know of which has an eBook on. Admittedly for my own site I've not really promoted the Click bank eBooks yet, I just happened to find them available and added them to the website. However, even without promoting them properly, since added them to the site (2-3 weeks ago I think) we've had roughly 200-250 clicks on all of the links combined (I say roughly as there are spiders included in the total figure of 325), but no sales. The eBook product mentioned, on a different site, has had no sales whatsoever, despite dropping the price and now trying to employ tactics such as giving a feeling of urgency and a discounted price.nnBoth these sites got me thinking as there should be no reason why not even one sale has been made. Then I wondered… both sites are on UK domains, which tend to attract mainly UK visitors. A lot of people have good success with selling digital products such as eBooks and products from Click Bank, and I would have hoped there would have been at least a 1% sale rate. But… could the problem be that UK users are just very cautious of where they spend their money? Not for the sake of spending money but trusting who they spend it with?nnOf course I realise that my promotion of the digital products could help kick start sales, thus not relying on the seller to give a good sales pitch, as clearly they can't be else there would have been a sale or two.nnBut it's still a thought, could it just be that much harder to gain a UK visitor's trust?
