June's Earnings

PPC - $119.99
Affiliate - $24.32
Products - $0

Total - $144.31
Ave - $4.81 per day

Down on May's earnings unfortunately. However I know May's was artificially inflated by my Amazon affiliate account. This month there was no forced purchases anywhere so I'm still quite happy. However the main difference this month was that on the 21st of June something clicked in for the Tattoo site. From the 1st - 20th June we made an average of $2.81 per day. From the 21st to the end of the month this has more than doubled to $5.67 per day! Plus the odd click elsewhere we're just shy of $120 this month. If we keep an average of $5+ a day for July then this time next month we could be looking at $155+.

My own experiments with adsense at the start of this month proved a point to me, that single ads paid more, that we were capable of getting higher paying adverts, however that the increase in CPC wasn't worth the reduction in CTR - for us anyhow. Analysing the month's figures, comparing the first 3 weeks of the month to the upsurge time, the upsurge made more than double on a daily average, the CPC was every so slightly higher (about 0.5c per click) but the eCPM was slightly lower as was the CTR. However I've just remembered (literally!) that I decided to put an adsense block on our busiest page - the free sample page, which has had a lot of impressions but a very low CTR, so this is most likely pulling the whole eCPM down, as I only added the ad block after the middle of the month - suddenly things start to make sense! On the page I rewrote and played with, the eCPM rose by over 50% for the upsurge period which could mean that we're getting better quality traffic from somewhere. I have to now sit and look at the stats to see where or if there is a major difference anywhere with regards to referrals.

However all in all I'm happy with the month even though I didn't reach any targets, overall the PPC income has increased and will hopefully keep the past week's average for the next month or possibly increase further. I didn't get much work completed on my AIS sites this month. Work's been dragging on but is finally coming to a close for most jobs. I did get some ski articles written and start on optimising a new version of a template site of mine. I'm not sure if I'll get my intended AIS work done this month either, but my hopes are for the month to:

- Set up a proper product selling shop on the Tattoo site, offering single flashes and possibly link up to an affiliate shop too.
- Complete the first phrase of the content on my ski site, enough to market it. Then continue to add 5 posts a month to it.
- Get a couple of RSSGM sites up on spare domains to increase PPC income

I think that's more manageable with my current workload.

Oh I forgot to mention - I also made £45 gambling on the World Cup matches - does that count? ;)
