Promoting Click Bank with AdWords
July 22, 2006 – 11:28 pm
I, like many others with a 123 Reg account, have received a £50 AdWords voucher for a new account for completing a quick survey. Easy money essentially, but of course that's depending on whether I can convert the £50 voucher into cash. I've had a thought over a few options of how to spend the money, whether to promote my own sites with it or whether to try and sell some products with it.
I've opted to see if I can sell some Click Bank products with it as these are the easiest to deal with, sending the visitor straight to the seller's own sales page. Essentially I'm just paying for the visitor to go there. I've heard of success from some people trying this, and also from people who didn't break even, so I'll be monitoring closely. Plus the £50 (now £45 as there was £5 for the new account setup) has to be used within 14 days so I have 14 days to spend £45 and hopefully try and make as much money in that time as I can. I've chosen just 3 products for the time being and have another 2 that I may set up depending on how the first 3 do. I'm fairly familiar with AdWords as I run campaigns for the sites at my contract job and get to play around with someone else's money, so I've learnt quite a bit this way.
I'm also using the opportunity to grab some stats on searches for a couple of subjects that I've targetted which will help with the sites I may set up on them afterwards, afterall Wordtracker and Overture can give you great stats but to get Google stats the easiest way is to use AdWords. It tells you how many searches are made for each phrase you choose, and can be an eye opener at times.
Anyhow, I'll be keeping a watchful eye on the campaigns and will be treading carefully as I don't want to actually pay out unless it's worth the money.

Your post made me remember my own experience when I received £15 coucher and I made $70 by selling products. It was my first expeirence with PPC Advertising. After that I started to spend my own money to sell products.

If you get it right it can be worth it however if you read onto the last post on the subject under July Earnings you'll see that I don't actually think it made any impact besides a few adsense clicks and one sale at most, but even then I can't be sure.
Still if I get the right product it may work well
