Template Sales on the up

This past two weeks has been pretty good for template sales. I've had 3 sales through Template Monster totalling $80+. I've just made my first withdrawal since I signed up almost 2 years ago of $160, so around £90. At one point I started to think, everyone sells TM templates, perhaps the web is just saturated with sites doing this, however I think if I had a busier site where the main bulk of them are, then I could sell more often, perhaps one a month on average. I think if you can find a niche subject within site building, and just offer templates based on that subject, plus information on how to adminster them and perhaps how to work on that niche (be it Flash templates and articles on how to use Flash, or one of the many shopping carts, and how to use the cart) then I think you can have more success at sales for fewer visitors. My original template site has almost all of the templates for sale, and whilst that's great to refer people to who are just looking for a standard design, people looking for something specific would rather be on a site dedicated to that subject.nnI've got a couple of domains for the job on two subjects. One is already in use but needs a good revamp and more information adding to it, and the other I bought for the heck of it (what's $9 for a domain!) and I think when I have the time I'll work on that site and relearn the software that it's targetted at so that I can also provide other information perhaps. The software site has its own forum which I used to be an active member of, so perhaps in the new year I'll join back up and use that as a source of information.nnAnyhow, the AIS savings account is starting to look healthy. Back in July I decided we should just put our AIS earnings into a spare account and let them build up. It's nice to see a few hundred in there, real cash that can't be taken away from you, and it's also a good motivator. This recent withdrawal will bump it up even more.
