Approving new Ads on TLA
Sat, 2 December, 2006 – 4:02 pm
Am I missing something? Today I had an email through for a new advert to approve. They'd applied for a spot on a site that is offering site wide links and 'feedvertising'. So I logged in to my account and went to Approve New Ads. The site was listed along with a link to the advertiser. After checking the site, 99% on the subject of the site, so I was quite happy to approve it. However nothing told me whether this was a web or RSS advert and nor how much it was for. Despite TLA telling you how much you could expect for your site when you first add it this price can change as on another site I sold 3 links at $7.50 a month (that's $15 to the advertiser, of course I only get 50%) and then a 4th link at just $12.75 a month.nnWhilst it's nice getting any money in it'd still be nice to find out how much the advert will pay you and where it's going ie. site or RSS feed. The 4th advert on the other site I mentioned about was the last advert available and if I'd known that the price had dropped I'd have possibly refused it, as I can't see a way to cancel adverts either. I'm sure (or hoping at least) you would be able to contact the TLA team and ask them to remove an advert if it was no longer appropriate for some reason however you'd usually expect to be able to do this yourself (or maybe publishers aren't to be trusted?).nnIf I am missing something, please someone let me know as I can't find the details on the ad until it's approved and then I go into Money Earned.
