Our first $10+ AdSense Day

I don't know what happened yesterday but we doubled our daily AdSense earnings and finished the day with over $13 made for the day. The server stats don't update for another couple of hours so I don't know if there was any major increase in visitors. The link unit I added contributed to almost $4 of this. I can't believe we've been missing on this extra revenue from a link unit all this time!!nnThe best news from my point of view was that $3 of this was made between midnight and 8am, when the AdSense resets (being in the US). This means that besides a few UK visitors burning the midnight oil, there would have been visitors from further West, so North and South America and Australia. This is good to me as it means that despite the site running on a UK domain it's attracting more foreign visitors, and those are the people, especially the US, that I hope and expect to sell more products to, as I'm still of the belief that few UK people will buy from small unknown sites due to their lack of confidence and the constant 'identity theft' and 'fraud on the internet' warnings we're always seeing.nnSo, let's hope that's the first top day of many :)nnPS. Should I be concerned if the visitor numbers haven't changed? A dramatic rise in AdSense often sends alarm bells to the trigger happy suspend accounts people at Google and I certainly wouldn't be happy to have the account frozen, especially as we spent 7 hours in the car yesterday and no where near the site to make fraudulent clicks!

Just checked the stats, we had 1211 visitors yesterday so that could be one reason for the increase in earnings! Not bad for Friday 13th

I doubt they'd suspend an account over making $5-7 more in a day than normal. I think if it jumped from $5/day average to $100/day with no increase in visitors, they'd take notice.nnSounds like you have about a $10 CPM, which ain't bad at all!nnBriannhttp://www.brianburton.org

Hey Brian, I just get jumpy if there's a major increase in AdSense as I've seen my housemate get his account suspended when his site suddenly started earning around $10-$20 a day.nnNot sure what the CPM is, I'd have to check. CTR is around 10% usually.

I'd be interested to see if this was the start of a new trend, or a one-off "spike"nnI've had days where I get $6 or $7, get all excited, and start doing sums working out how much I'll be earning now that I'm making $X a day, then watch the earnings fall back to the average of $1 to $3.nnDisheartening to say the least….

Congratulations! My highest has been $5 in a day, but that was a long time ago (made $50 that month, I was chuffed to bits!). $10/day is $300 a month, and that's worth having.

Hey Rhys, thanks for the comment and congrats. Unfortunately the earnings went back to normal after that day! But we've already cracked $100 for the month so the continual monthly payouts is good news

Stu, sorry just dug your comments out of Akismet! It seemed to be a one off spike. Admittedly our earnings have doubled from what they used to be in the past couple of months as we're now reaching over $100 a month easily, but the $13 was a serious spike after a serious spike in visitors.nnHowever the site's getting a lot of work on it which may increase or decrease visitors and subsequent AdSense earnings, but hopefully product sales will increase and they make much more!
