Bid to Stardom!

Haha, only kidding. The new .net Magazine is out, new and majorly redesigned. I'd like to think I played a part in that as I reviewed a few of the covers and also the content in the existing mag too. Well hey, the sections I didn't read are virtually gone so perhaps my wise words were taken on board!! The new mag is a major improvement on what it has been for the past few years. They've pulled in some top end editorial contributors such as Molly Holschlag, Patrick Lauke, Andy Budd and Andy Clarke. The magazine looks fresher and has some good articles and tutorials and looks like a fresh of breath air. Unfortunately the editor who's been working on this new redesign, Lisa, has now left but Dan's back as the new Editor. I think I've been reading Dan's work since the late 90's when he wrote for Internet Works, and then .net.

My bid to stardom? On page 107 is my review of Google Notebook. Unfortunately they got my details wrong and have put me working at E3 Media instead of 3.E.Media. Shame I didn't put 'Managing Director' instead, that'd been funny :D Of course untrue, as I'm not Limited (yet). I've been meaning to write what I really wanted to write on Google Notebook here, but I've just not had the time to do up a proper review with screen prints etc. but it does seem like a handy feature and runs off a firefox extension.

Perhaps I should have put my link to here instead, afterall I spend more time here than on my business site. Plus I don't want the work anyhow!

  2. Congrats on the .net article :) I haven't bought .net in a long time, but think I might get it this month as it used to be a good read - and was nice to hear that Dan is back. Old skool .net - all we need now is Paul Douglas back ;)

  3. Heh, it was only 50 words. It would have been more if I'd been allowed tho ;)

Yup bring Paul back!!! (I think that's his site!)

  4. Nice one Sarah! I once had my old Arthole featured in reader's websites but I haven't bought the mag for about two years now. Might have to dig this one out and have a read.

Nice to see Dan back too. I wonder what Paul is doing now?
