Personal Time

So much for the Summer eh? It's been non stop rain virtually all week, pretty naff really. Still, so much has been going on regardless. On Tuesday we drove both cars down to my parents. They've gone to Canada for 2.5 weeks and had asked me last year to look after their house and garden. It's a nice difference with a nice large garden to go with it! They didn't go until Friday so I got to spend a little time with them beforehand. My Mum and I went off shopping on Wednesday, picked up some more shorts - very useful in this weather
I've had a fairly easy week this week with work. Partly because I was out half of the time, and partly because it's been so mad these past few weeks with a couple of large sites going live, I figured I'd take it easy. We're got a new site to start but I'm in no rush to look at that yet. Without the usual organisation of my desk I'm not intending to overwork this fortnight, simply get done what needs to be done and take it easy, watching Wimbledon
The benefit of being at my parents is all the fresh food we get to pick out of the garden. I've been eating fresh peas every night, as a simple snack. We've had fresh strawberries at least 50% of the time. Fresh lettuce and other salad food too. When the rain subsides I'll be picked a few pounds of gooseberries and possibly the blackcurrants too. I've also been given a long list of weeding to do!! I did offer though as I love to simply be out in the garden, getting some fresh air and being away from the computer and television. I find these days if I'm not on the computer then I'm finding some rubbish to watch on TV. Of course I need some dry weather to get out there but watching the forecast today it seems that it should be relatively okay here until Thursday, so hopefully I'll get some time outside then.
I also need to get the Smart washed and cleaned inside and out, ready to take up to London and put up for sale. One of my clients has offered to sell it for me, cover the warranty etc. for a small fee. Hopefully I can get around £2,250 out of the deal which will be very welcomed!
