Roundup 02/09/2007

Wow, it's September already. Where did the year go?! Is the summer officially over now? Not that we've really had one. Apparently the wettest summer since records began over 90 years ago. No suprise there then. Still this week has been pretty mad. On Monday it was a bank holiday in the UK. We had stayed the night in a Travel Inn (motel) over in Peterborough after my Aunt's BBQ, so after an all you can eat breakfast (and we did) we headed over to friends who'd just moved up to a village about 20 minutes away. I've known The Bourne Ultimatum which was absolutely fantastic. I must admit, I never wanted to take my eyes off the screen! I did feel that the ending was a little bit of a let down, I expected something a little more of interest about his life and how he'd become what he had become but all in all it was a very good film.
On Friday we drove down to my friend's house who lives about 45 minutes north of Cardiff in the middle of hills! My IT Manager (my friend's replacement) was having is last day at work before going off to New Zealand to become a commercial jet pilot, so I'd promised we'd go down for the leaving party. It was a nice time away. I caught up with many old friends who I work with, despite being hundreds of miles apart!, and we had a great night out in Cardiff on the Friday. On Saturday we grabbed some lunch down in Cardiff Bay and then met up with some old friends who I've not seen for almost 2 years, since I left Cardiff. It was nice to catch up with everyone. We got back last night soon after 10pm.
Today I've managed to sort a little out in my garden before the rain hit. We've lost a lot of tomatoes to blight this year, and I had to cut more leaves off and lose two Beef tomatoes today unfortunately. However I got a nice bowl full of raspberries with plenty more to come, and we've now got about half a dozen chilli fruit growing on one of the (numerous) plants. So some things are finally starting to work, but the rain hasn't helped much this year

I liked the Bourne Ultimatum too. In fact, I liked all of the movies in the series

Definitely the best trilogy of films that I've seen for a long time. However I've not seen Ocean's 13 yet but I liked the first two of that as well!
