Preview a Different WordPress Theme

As you're maybe already aware, I've changed the design of this site. At first I had the new theme running locally using Xampp which is installed on my computer. That was fine for rearranging everything and getting it to look right, however I didn't fancy putting my entire blog database into my local install, plus the import of even just a few entries kept erroring (I don't know why).
So whilst I had set everything up as best as possible, I still needed to see the site in its live state, to check everything looked right with all the plugins working. Of course I had to do this without disrupting the live site. However, a quick search later and I came across a WordPress plugin Admin Theme Preview. This is a simple plugin that allows you, as the admin, to select which theme to see. This meant I could view the new theme in its live state, and fix the little niggles that didn't show up on my localhost, of which there were a few!
Great plugin when you come to redesign ![]()

Thanks Luc. Xampp is certainly a nice little package to have, and you can run it on a pen drive too which I've done in the past. I used to set everything up manually but I don't see the point with Xampp around. Plus you can switch between PHP 4 an 5 if you need to

It definitely is. Even if you want to make changes to your current theme without disrupting the live site, you can just duplicate it over and work out of site.

Ooo it does look a little like yours
I guess I'll have to add a further couple of customisations, alter the top photos etc. once I get time.

They'll look a little different as soon as I get my new artwork and favicon up. TMA's a good theme but it needs color.
