Found a House!

After a couple of months of on and off searching we've found a house finally. We viewed it today and despite it not being 100% what we wanted, it'll do the job and it's in our price range (kinda). In total it's £70 more a month which includes the cost of the council tax. It's a 3 bedroom house so we'll be using the main and smallest room for our furniture (the small room could be considered a walk in wardrobe really, it's not a bedroom really!), and the spare room as the office. The lounge and kitchen are also both a reasonable size. The garden is larger than the one we have now and there's also a small driveway for the car. Plus the house is well away from the main road and very quiet, however it's just 5-10 minutes from the motorway and around 10-15 minutes from the beach at New Brighton ;)

So we filled out the application form today, paid a non refundable £220 :( and fingers crossed we'll get the house. This should hopefully mean we can move out of here by the end of the month. Who knows, we may still have a little bit of savings left to go away for a long weekend somewhere, after Christmas!

  2. Oh that's exciting news!! Did you take pictures?

Good luck with the app process. When do you find out?

  3. No we didn't take pictures. I don't know when we'll find out about it. We have to drop off proof of ID and address today, I guess they'll have written to our Referees and once they hear back we'll know. Hopefully by next week some time.

I'll post up pics once all the furniture is in and it looks a bit more homely!

  4. Providing my contract job get confirmation over of my yearly income from them then the checks will go ahead and we could know by next Wednesday. I just hope my credit card doesn't get in the way of things (as I'm still paying my car off)

  6. Cheers Deron. To be honest I've moved house so many times it's nothing new to me ;) But I do like a change of scenery. I'm just trying not to plan too much until we have a definite answer.
