Archive for the ‘AIS’ Category

I started writing out instructions last night on how to use Wordtracker for my SEO category on here. I used a phrase as an example and by accident found some of the best performing key phrases I've ever seen reported on so blokie and I have gone into this one together. 1 Domain name at £6.09 less the 60p I get in my affiliate account (as he bought it in his 123-reg account), £20 for the web site and the hosting is in my reseller account, so theoretically free. Luckily a friend can provide us with a product to sell as affiliates, we'll accept the money and pay him his price each month, so that will require a little phping on my part but nothing that I didn't already have to do for another web site!nnFingers crossed we may have cracked this whole AIS business and will have a full web site to start receiving (if the statistics are right and my SEO does it's thing) possibly hundreds if not thousands of visitors A DAY! Of course it's all dependent on getting onto the front page of the search engines, but I think considering it is a niche market I could be in luck. Hey I got my work's site to the front page for several phrases without really trying! I'm sure I can do it with this site. It will be interesting to also study the supposed "Google Sandbox" at the same time as this is a brand new domain unlike SwishWorld.com so it will be of interest to me with regards to the whole Sandbox as I don't really believe it exists (ahh how to open a can of worms eh).nnWill let you know when it's up ;)

I've got many domains that I've purchased and then never used, always having ideas for sites but just never finding the time to set anything up. However a guy I know has some software that can generate a web site for a given subject and supply you with a complete fully functioning web site to get online and make money on. So I decided to give it a try and take a web site that's 4 years old and gets on average 10 visitors a day. I've spent the past day altering the code to pure CSS/XHTML (with a couple of exceptions), I've added some extra affiliate stuff to the web site and set up permanent redirects to ensure visitors to old pages get sent to the new pages. The site also came in pure html pages so I've set up the site now using PHP includes to make it easier to update in the future. If it's worth my time I may even set it up as dynamic so that it's easy to create new pages and add new links in. Ideally I'd like to check the search engines and find more sites in there to make the directory more complex and worthwhile. However we'll see if it's worth it first.nnThe new site is at Swish World – a resource site for anyone who's interested in using or who already uses SWISH2 or SWISHmax.

My Web Developer Kit is designed to be a resource of information for various aspects of Web Sites and working for yourself, as well as a collection of links which, to put it bluntly, are designed to make money. I currently have two new sections to add once I've written information for each. Bear in mind this web site is not automatically generated, it is not just a site of links or affiliate links, I hope it still does contain and will contain even more useful information for visitors. I want it to be a resource that people will return to, and going by the bookmarking statistics it appears that visitors do intend to do this as I have a high percentage of bookmarks made.nnThe web site mainly points to affiliated companies that I have signed up to, to promote their products and, on a sale, making a percentage of the sale. The main site is set up currently as selling web templates, however my other sections are growing slowly, as and when I have the time to add content. The site itself has so far made the equivalent of £47 on affiliate links and then there's my Google Adsense as well. Some links are affiliates however I believe that if a company is worth linking to I'll do it with or without an affiliate code, of course the latter is always welcome.nnAnyhow my new section is going to be on Search Engine Optimisation. I've written an eBook on the subject, constantly revising and updating it over the past 2 years. I think I know a reasonable amount of information in this field, and tried and tested methods of mine seem to work so I can't argue with that really. One tool which I will be promoting is the Wordtracker Software which is a fantastic tool for anyone trying to optimise their web site for the Search Engines. This gives various figures and information on key phrases and the frequency of their use along with the remark as to your chances of being found using a particular phrase. The Affiliate program offers you 15% on all sales for life (however note "for life" usually means until the cookie is wiped off the machine unless your affiliation is stored within the referral's details), and I couldn't recommend the product more and would recommend it for free if I had to.

So I, like a lot of people out there, are trying to make money without having to do a lot of work for it. These people are by no means trying to be lazy, they're just trying to generate some extra income to either provide them with a couple of extra luxuries in life, or make some extra income to help top up what they already earn. A simple way is for anyone who has a 123-reg Domain Account can sign up for an affiliate account with them and earn 10% on all purchases (and I believe renewals are included) of domain names and web hosting packages. The cookies that hold the affiliate code don't expire… ever! At this point you need a second account, either with a friend or family member, so that one of you can have the affiliate account and the other can do all of the purchasing and renewing of domain names. It makes no difference to the prices of the domains or hosting, no "skin of anyone's nose" except that you can make money from it.nnAlternatively if you have domains with 123-reg and would just rather help my money making campaign then my please feel free to click on my 123-reg Affiliate Link. It doesn't matter if you're already registered with them or not, it will just update the cookie to inform 123-reg that you've clicked on my link.nnEasy money I hope, let's see if anyone clicks it! I've only got £6.42 in there made over the past 2 years so I need at least £25 to get a cheque!!

Finally got around to looking up an old web site. Sounds bizarre I know but basically I set this web site up about 5 years ago, a bit of a directory dedicated to web sites made in the flash software Swish. Anyhow, work and other projects got in the way and it never really got looked at since. However it still receives around 200 visitors a month, nothing major, and has other sites linking to it. Trouble is I don't use the software anymore and can't be bothered to maintain an index of Swish sites. At the time of creation, Swish was just in the early development stages, I'm sure now it's very advanced and obvious as to what can be accomplished using it.nnSo what do I do besides forward the domain to another site?!
